I recently got a couple of emails from the Dept of Veterans affairs. Both came at roughly the same time yesterday. The thing about communications via email from them is that they never send actual information. They just say that they are sending a letter. The email says they have reached a decision abut my appeal for status as having service related PTSD.
Of course that made me go to my messages in the VA home page. neither had all the information I wanted, but there were hints.
The first said it was determined I was not 100% disabled as a result of my traumatic experiences. Fine, I have never attempted too claim total disability.
The second said that they had determined that my PTSD was caused by me experiences in the service. What that means I have no idea.
Partial disability with some financial compensation?
Additional coverage for treatment?
At least there is movement. I have never looked for financial compensation as such, just wanted to be covered or paid for treatment. Don't want to have to pay out of my own pocked for what is a service related problem.
When I started this journey multiple people told me I was on an impossible quest. I told them that they had no idea how determined I could be (stubborn?) Just keep swinging and walking forward and even the biggest bullies will fall.
