You know how when you lean back in a chair, you overballance and feel like you are going to fall over backwards but you catch yourself just in time? My life is like that, except most of the time.

Thank you so much for the photos of Kelly's scrimshaw. My mother & Marcia were best friends, so my sisters & I grew up with the Smith kids. My middle sister lives near Anchorage & re-connected with Guy before he died. My youngest sister lives in our family home which houses several pieces of Kelly's early artwork. I met Kelly shortly after Marcia's biological son was killed in Viet Nam. Kelly taught me how to look at art, to appreciate blues music, wrote me reams of poetry, & painted wonderful portraits of all of us. I can't remember not loving him. Now I mourn for 2 of Marcia's sons. Stephanie
Yeah, he had so many different tallents. It seemed that anything that caught his interest, he would get passionate about and the next thing you know he was turning out incredible things. As I said, he was a rare creature, a genuinely good man.

Kelly was a special person, not only for his tallent at art, but he was a genuinely good and nice person.
I will always miss him
