Frankenhealey

I have decided that at least for now, the 1973 Jensen Healey shall be known as Frankenhealey.

After all parts of at least six dead cars are incorporated in the car so far.

The basic structure is a white 1973 Jensen Healey, but the engine is out of a 74 that was burned up in a fire.

The intake manifold is out of an English sports car with a Lotus 907 engine. Might be any one of several.

The carb are Dellorto's off of an Alpha.

Miscellaneous parts are from my donor car, another 73. The throttle linkage is from Texas. A lot of misc. parts are from California.

One headlight surround is from a different car than any of the other parts.

The two fenders I am installing came off of a gray 73.

So, Frankenhealey.

Out of the carcases of dead cars, a new one arises. And I hope it is a monster.

A car like that is going to have a ton of personality... hard to go wrong really!

Michael: I really wish I knew the history of each car that has "Contributed.

Have you thrown the switch yet to bring the monster to life?

Sarah: The car will start and run, but not very well. I am waiting for a jetting kit for the carbs before it will really run. THEN I will consider the monster alive.

Frankenhealey is an excellent LAST NAME.

I highly recommend Eudora as a first name.

All cars are, of course, females. :)

Rooooooooar!!!! ;)

And Rennratt is right...cars are girls. I call mine "Bitch" almost every day lately! ;)

Renn: You are right. Frankenhealey would be a last name. Eudora would make a good first name, it gives an image of the frumpy English housekeeper gone wrong. A twisted Mrs Doubtfire.

PQ: Of course cars are female. High on maintenance, pretty to look at, and you can't live without times.
And there aare times when you would like to terminate them.

Can't wait to see The Bride of Frankehealy! Oh, wait, if all cars are female, that would make her, uh, nevermind.

Rick: Maybe I will reawaken the donor car as the bride of Frankenhealey. After all, it is black with white stripes.
